Why are people so confused about this?

Im sick and tired of people asking me "are you goth" "are you punk" and I hate posers- for example,sumone who listens to metallica and greenday and says "im goth". So here is some definitions.

Strange days indeed.....dysfunctional perhaps.....it is the group mentality, wanting to belong.....the days of the strong independent individual are........gone? disappearing ?

I know exactly what you mean. Those kind of people are so frustrating. They try so hard to fit in. They change themselves just so people will like them. It's pathetic. Be yourself, do what you want, and don't worry what people think about you.

i dont know why people need to know. If you like darker things, that's good for you. But if you're not who cares.

I think people who classify themselves and others have serious problems.They are so stereotypical and I cant stick them.I totally understand your question and I think these people have forgotten that they are all humans.
