  1. Because they can get away with it.

  2. well, not all people on the net are rude.  only the people who are really rude in person are the ones who are also rude on the internet.  basically, people who are nice in person would also be nice on the net.

  3. because they're having a bad day, it's easier to be a jerk to a stranger without an actual conflict

  4. Don't take this wrong but maybe you are too sensitive.  Why do you care what people you don't know think about you or your question?  Also, realize that if they come back rude or nasty, it's their problem and not yours.

  5. Because they feel like they can - they are just being bullies. It is very petty.

  6. No one feels the need to be polite on the Internet because they feel that they have the ability to be anonymous.

  7. only because they dont have to see the person face to face so they dont need to back up their mouth. by the way,  ghetto has two t's! lol im totally joking with you =) i hope no one was very rude to you =)

  8. It's CRITICISM OK???? Hahahah jk. Maybe they feel they don't have to face any consequences because they are virtually "anonymous" online, so they let their true colors show.

    =]]

  9. lol i feel you its just that pple are generally nasty and they know in here they r accountable to no one so they can let the horrible side of them take over its amazing how many pple smile and act all cute in the office but in here they are the nastiest

  10. Because it it easy to do, plain and simple.  They are completely anonymous, therefor they feel that anything goes.  They are wrong of course, but they are wearing an internet mask.  It's worse when you meet people like this out on the street!  AAHH!  lol

  11. It's because it is completely anonymous and there are no consequences for your actions.  Simple as that.

  12. the Internet is somewheres where...you can pretend to be something Ur not...for all u know a kid that would've said 'go back to school' could be...a drug addict that hates there father or something weird like that...

  13. Because it's generally anonymous, can't do anything about rude people on the internet like you can in real life.  It's just easier, most people would never do any of those things to someone's face.

  14. No one asked for you to spell something wrong either. If the attitude is "everything goes" then being rude goes too.

If it's okay for you to spell something wrong, it's okay for someone to complain about it. That's how it goes.

  15. Criticism and rudeness is achieved because

    1. Its easier to do it when you are hidden behind a screen and nobody has to know who you are

    2. The person is offended by the question or thinks it is silly and is deserving of a silly answer

    3. some people just want to earn points

    4. They just have a nasty attitude and can't help themselves

Shouldn't be bothered by it though.

  16. Because they feel like they don't have to answer for it.  YOu never know who's talking to you on the internet, and that makes people feel like they have the freedom to say or do whatever they want, even if may leave someone scarred emotionally and mentally.  Sad, but true.

  17. Because they can hide behind their computer. It's easy to be a jerk when there is no real fear of consequences.

  18. lol weird question, poeple usaully be rude in the internet because they think that you will never find them, the other reason (this never happened to me) becasue the person knows you and wants you to get mad, thats why he is only targetting you.
