Why are people so cruel and mean ???

i know the man answer is going to jealousy but why do people have to be jealous for when there is nothing to be jealous of cause i am just sick of people out there that is so freaking fake as h**l and you are so nice and kinda to people but they just go behind there backs and talk **** for but they have no reason to ugh it just get on my nerves

Because they feel rotten about themselves.  According to their thinking, the only way to make themselves look better is by making someone else look worse.  My mother and my first husband were like that.  And I was their victim, not knowing what to do about it.  

Took me 15 years to divorce that husband and learn to ignore my mother.  You do not need to take the words of these people to heart, but I know it isn't easy to just let them roll off your back.  If you have a couple of good friends, talk to them and chances are you'll get their assurances that you're a good person.  

I was going to say "Don't let it get to you," but that's almost impossible.  Stay away from the negative, nasty people as much as you can.

I don't know. There are some people that are just like that. You know in highschool how there are always the "mean girls" who pick on innocent mousy girls that cannot defend themselves like vicious animals hunting for prey in the hallways?

There are people who enjoy inflicting pain, whether it be emotional or physical, on other people. It's just how they are.

Some people are not what we expect them to be. Who knows the reasons why. But, they can't change who you are inside, no matter what they say. Please, don't let their negativity change who you believe yourself to be. The only way to fight this is to keep a positive attitude (I know it's very hard in this situation) and don't let what they say get to you. You sound like a sweet, nice person. Continue to let your light shine. Eventually it will shed light on others. Negative people tend to back bite when they know it will get to you. This is part of the intent and is what keeps this type of thing going. Good luck to you and your baby.
