Why are people so curious?

Question

I know its weird but i cant help but wonder why. For english i had to read this book and it was book 1 of a series. I didnt really like it, but i had to read all the other books just to satisfy my curiosity.

And when my mum says "dont touch the plate its hot" Nomatter how much i resist, i just have to touch the plate.

Curiousity may have killed the cat, but not knowing kills you anyway!!! SO WHY ARE WE SO CURIOUS!!!!!

there is , innately in man, the unrestrictred drive to know everything that there is to know. try reading philosophy books or enroll in philosophy classes.. it will help, im sure

Curious = eager to learn, so when Mom says don't touch that plate, it's hot, kids are curious to find out what "hot" is. It's human nature to try and best understand the world that we live in.

Curiousity....it is simply part of our make up.

We all need it at times...otherwise we would dull boring,drab and rather uneducated.........

Because we are programmed to be curious. That is how the world progresses. Actually it stuns me haw many people lack curiosity. I'm 56 and at the leading edge of electronics technology. I make my living now from technologies not even invented 5 years ago. I am just so curious to learn as much as I can as you never know when certain data will be useful.

And my daughter is going to an engineering gard school as she already nailed pretty well everything in business and non technology areas in her undergrad years.

All animals are curious. It is natural. Even turtles. Why humans be any different. There is always joy in exploring something new.
