Why are people so mean in high school?

9th and 10th grade people where ***** to me.....i mean i was in Drug prevention club and president of class and student council ....i have all ways been different i all ways said whats on my mind and never hanged w/ the ''cool crowd'' they made fun of me cuz i didn't do drugs or drank beer....but now 11th grade...i made the varsity cheerleading team and varsity soccer team....now everybody is adding me on myspace.... and texting me like crazy telling me there sorry and they want to be my friends...

Dont even mess with those people.They are just losers.

I will admist that i did do some of those things as a afreshman,and now as a sophmore,but I NEVER frowned upon someone who didnt,because they will soon realize that they are in some deep s h i t with all of  it.

Just sit back and watch them fall,while you stand above them.Because,just the fact that you are already going down the right path,already makes you stronger than they ever will be.

its a good way to tell real friends from fake friends. i made a lot of fake friends when i was on the softball team in 7th grade. i was really good at the sport and all these people wanted to talk to me and be my friend and do things with me. but the second i quit the team they left me out to dry because i wasn't playing anymore. stick with the friends you have now. the people texting you and stuff just want to be friends with you because of the teams you are on.

I'm entering the 12th grade right now and you should be able to see your true friends. These same people that treated you like **** before want to be your friend now? Seems shady right? That's because it is. Don't give them a chance because they're just gonna use you for popularity or whatever other sick thing they want. You're gonna have to make decisions like this for the rest of your life. Might as well start now right?

In grades 9 and 10 people are insecure so they do the "cool" stuff to fit in with the older people, but if they want to be your friend now, why not? Give them a chance.

well, there is no sense in being hostile to them in return as that wouldn't benefit you. However, do not forgot what kind of people they are and that you're not like them. I say you should be polite and friendly to them, but you don't have to give them your time or be friends with them.
