You're not kidding. There are a great many hostile people on the Internet, and they enjoy being sadistic. If they are treating you like that here in Yahoo answers, report them.

Because they are jerks. They can hide behind an username, and put you down to make themselves feel good. Also, these people like to take it out on innocent strangers because they have had a bad day and/or they think it's them against the world.

You should feel sorry for them really, it is very sad.

.I truly think that the majority of yahoo-ers are really here asking questions, seeking help with something or  are really trying to help others with their problems..We are all entitled to our opinions, but some need to learn the fine art of tactfulness and grace when answering questions. A little common courtesy goes a long way...I am sorry that someone was being mean and rude to you...I apologize to you in their behalf....You know, you just have to ignore the rude comments and questions....they serve no purpose whatsoever here except to make someone feel embarrassed for asking or hurt because of the answers they received.....and you never ever know what frame of mind that this person trying to seek help may be in at the time of asking....the answer that you give can truly uplift someone who so desperately needs it or break them if they are at a very bad place in their life...so, all of you reading this....REMEMBER THAT PLEASE..........!!!!!! Because they can do it without any fear of being identified. If the truth was known they all think that way anyway and behind their friends back they express the hate and wrongful opinions to others about them and if not they are thinking it. They just don't have the nerve to express them openly for fear of retribution.

These are the same people that drive rudely, treat people at drive up windows rude, etc.  but in person they may be the nicest person you ever met...they just don't realize they should be courteous all of the time, not just in person.  They only fool themselves.

That's because they are cowards in real life ... but on the anonymous internet they can be as ignorant and mean as they really are ... with no consequences
