  1. I think people are more tolerant than when I was growing up.

You should have lived in the 1950s.

  2. Backlash.

  3. There has always been racist and hate--people just talk about it now.  I am alarmed that it hasn't gotten better or solved by this day and age.  People have became more rude.

  4. drugs

  5. I just think you were not aware of racism when you were young. Racism is something that is learned about as we grow older. Also technology has brought people from different culture together in a way that never happened before, so now there seems to be an increase of racism.

  6. You are mistaken. Today, although incidents like the one you say, people are more tolerant, because of the exposure and the creation in many countries of governamental offices where to report attacks on the rights of people to be different because of their color, allegiances, religion or sexual affinities.

  7. I don't think that they are less tolerant.  They are certainly more free to express their opinions without regard to who gets hurt in the process.  That makes more rude.

  8. there are more people now, and it's getting crowded.

  9. I think you need to talk to some of the older generation.  You would be surpised and shocked at what they went through growing up.  LIfe today is a cake walk compared to what they had to endure.
