If you think riding is sitting on a horse pulling the reins, I feel sorry for your horse. Riding is about leg, not the reins.

  1. you are a classic example of a sports buffoon.

you're trying to justify a boring spectator sport by saying it is so difficult to do.

Lots of things are hard to do.

Calculus is hard to do, but that doesn't make it a good spectator event.

  2. i dunno, equestrian is a very good event

  3. ok i actually do ride horses but i HATE the equestrian events... they are sooooooooo boring, nobody likes watchin it. BTW it is so not that hard! PFFFFFT no it doesn't require alot of athletic ability - in fact you dont need any just to sit on the stupid horse and pull at the reins its something my 96 year old grandfather could do with his eyes closed

  4. because I haven't seen it on tv during the olympics.

  5. equestrian is good. I like it.

  6. I agree. I wish people could understand and appreciate the years it takes for a horse and rider to excel as a combination. To ride at the Olympics - a rider has to be extremely talented, not to mention hard working and dedicated. Most top riders are doing horse orientated things for about 14 hours a day. And then there's the horses - they are very rarely up to Olympic competition level until they are about 10 years old, and for them to make it that far they have to be willing, eager, sensible and most of all - naturally scopey/good moving/conformation.

The equestrian events have me on the edge of my seat - nothing is more thrilling to watch when you understand the complexity and logistics of the sport.

  7. I don't care for equestrian events.
