1. young guys and gals who drive nicer cars than you and people get all mad and called them spoiled brats? Couldn't it just be the fact that they are from a wealthy family? Why would a family want their son or daughter to drive a beat-up honda or worse kia/neon when they can afford to give them a car they love and much safer for their children.

2. People make generalization about soccer mom and their cellphones and suv.

3. There's always people hating on others driving different brands of cars domestic/import/european etc.

the only thing that i can't stand about drivers are either they modify their cars that might endanger the road, they act stupid in cars, they drive too fast, they drive under the influence, and its basically mostly about the driver after all instead of what kind of car you drive.

  1. 1.  Because new drivers have wrecks.  Its a fact of life, and statistics prove it.  I dont care if I am a billionaire, my teens first car is going to be something cheap and inexpensive.  I am not going to buy an 80,000$ vehicle for my 16 year old to see it totalled 3 months later.  Sorry, just not gonna happen

    2.  The only thing that bothers me with the SUVs is that many people cant drive them.  I was at Costco the other day behind some chick who tried for 10 mins, literally, to get her vehicle in the space, and Costco's spaces are like double the normal size.  Now, it could have been a new driver, but I see it all the time every day.  If you dont know how to drive/park your vehicle, or if your vehicle is too big for you to drive/park, you dont need to be driving it.

ANd it is a proven fact that driving while on the phone causes wrecklessness.  Most states are even starting to pass laws banning cell phones while driving. My state has a law that bans minors or anyone who does not yet have a full license from driving on the phone at all, and adults with full licenses are reuired to use hands free.

    3.  I dont really care about that at all.  Most people tend to have their fav manufacturer...  chevy v ford ect, but people do that everywhere with every thing.   walmart v target, foodlion v harris teeter, macys v value city....

  2. People are insecure.  That's all it comes down to.

As for your first question, buying a high school kid a nice car is a waste of money since they're pretty much guaranteed to total it.  No matter how much money you have, being stupid with your money is still stupid.  And if you really knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't include Kia in the "unsafe" category.

  3. The funny thing is you only find this in America, where everyone obsess over material wealth ignoring other aspects like character. In other civilized cultures, they do not care about such pity issues.

  4. Ia gree with the first poster. I am from a different country, and there, no one cares what car you drive...they have more important things to worry about. I don't know why some people are like that, but I mean, really...if you can afford it..don't you want your kids to be safe?
