Why are people so quick to discredit youtube as a good source of info when some is just actual news clips?

This is because people prefer to generalize facts when they disagree with them.  It is really little more of a 'shoot the messenger approach than anything else.  It is similar to stating when hearing about someone from your past whom you didn't like achieving some sort of personal success, "Hey!  That can't be true!  That guy was an idiot!"  This is what is actually going on.  Basically a, "I understand that you saw who the assassin was on that video shot by the guy on the scene, but you only saw it on You Tube so it isn't a valid source."  You Tube has become far too successful and this is part of the inevitable backlash.

Although Youtube is sort of educational at times,we get these a******s who just put stupid stuff on there.At times it is funny and cute,but other times it is very inappropriate.I have seen a lot of things on youtube that have been rewarding for me(paranormal activity is one of my favorites)but then you get people who dont understand what they are doing is just ignorant.Hopefully these teens will realize that not everything is a joke and start to take some things seriously.
