Why are people so rude?

Why is it that when you ask an innocent question you sometimes get a smart mouthed answer I said today: Well, the hurricane wasn't too bad in New Orleans, not like Katrina... they didn't get any rescue calls. Roomate.. UMMMM THERE WAS NO ONE IN NEW ORLEANS TO CALL! really rude. I was thinking umm not everyone evacuated I watched the webcam live before the storm and had a few people still out and about.

It depends how he said it, but it sounds like a pretty funny joke to me. I would have laughed. It's true though... there was no one to call! They had all evacuated early!

Should your room mate have kept quite and simply accepted you forcing your opinion on them?

People are b*****d covered b******s, filled with b*****d. Greed is our largest flaw. Your specific dilemma with your roommate makes it sound like he's desperate to be heard, as though his opinion makes any sort of difference to anybody, least of all, you. Of course nobodys opinion matters except for your lover.
