  1. well for very good reasons; they bite and most  have poisonous venom and fangs.  also at a young age we see other(grown-ups) react with fright, so also its learned behavior at an early age


  2. depends. some think theyre nasty, or theyre yea like what he said hairy or something like that. hahahaha! or maybe they experienced something we dont know that really freaked them out.  theres a looooooooot of reasons :)

  3. Jung claimed it was due to the collective unconscious. I don't believe in that and I've no idea why - I think they're cute.

    I always rescue them from the bath (easy way is to lay a towel over the edge and eventually they'll climb up it and out).

  4. Spiders do look creepy and scary but there is a saying that goes like this - "APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEPTIVE "

    People are afraid of spiders because of many reasons -

    1. They look creepy and ugly. Any thing ugly and creepy will scare you.

    2. People don't understand them. They think spiders will bite them so they tend to kill it even if it is just going about it's business.

    3. Many people have bad memory or experiences with spiders. Maybe it crawled on them while sleeping or bit them.

    4. Some poisonous spiders have caused death and this creates a fear and all spiders are considered poisonous.

    5. Some movies have also given a negative publicity to them. They are shown as evil and giants who are enemy of people. Such movies have a great impact on the psyche of people especially children.

    6. Some people actually suffer from ARACHNOPHOBIA.
