It makes sense that you have all your software (Business and Home) just on the Internet, without having all these applications and database on your local server/pc. However everybody I tell this says its never going to happen. But it makes so much sense..What do you think?

  1. Look at Yahoo, inside the Yahoo Mail page there's a fully working Yahoo Messenger, on the web. Look at Google Docs, it's basically an online office. HOWEVER, it will only make sense for people who has fast-cheap-constant internet access. Which is too long from now.

  2. u would need crazy bandwidth to apps like photoshop or media players or h**l even a web browser. it might happen in the future but right now a nice big harddrive is a lot cheaper than a full t1 connection u would need to run anything at even an acceptable speed. if for some strange reason hard drive prices skyrocket and bandwidth prices drop to about a quarter of the price it might be feasible, but there is still the problem of reliability, if ur phone or cable line goes out in lightning storm or something u would be boned, having everything on your local hd gives a sense of security.
