Why are people so taken aback by the idea of a man marrying three woman??

Okay, so it seems as though this kind of relationship is being talked about a lot. So, all the woman know about it, and there all in it together. What I don't understand is that it's not legal for a man to marry three woman, but two woman can marry (This is in canada)

Multiple marriages is only part of it. Wives are hop-scotch-age  children who are  burdened with pregnancy  and child raising when they  are ready  for jump rope.

In western society, a marriage is meant to be a testament of the love shared between two people, (man and woman, or whatever!). The thought of a man having more than one wife bothers most people because it denotes a utilitarian arrangement, mainly for the man. I personally couldn't live with three wives, either I, or two of them would be out of there like a scorched cat!. I don't see why there needs to be laws against it if the women are willing participants, but if you look more deeply into the type of guys who are doing this, you will see things like pedophilia, arranged marriages, removal of younger more suitable males from the fold and INCEST!. It may work for the Arabs, they don't have much regard for women anyway, but it will never work in the west, you women are just too smart!!!.

Give it about ten years and the laws will be changed. I for one wouldn't want to share my husband, but hey why should my pesonal belief of marriage ruin others happiness.

Most woman think its unfair.

A man can marry a ton of woman

but a woman cant marry a ton of men...???wtf?

Personally, I dont care. I dont AGREE with it, I think its WRONG. But if thats what you want...well, then whatsever floats your boat.

However....the second you get a child involved...I dont think its right.

If you want to marry 5,00 people. go ahead

if you and your husband think its hot to sleep around with other people...go ahead

If you and your spouse ENJOY being violent together...go ahead

but do NOT bring a child into your crazy world.
