Why are people so worried about Obama being Muslim?

Because there are actually people in America, quite a few of them, who believe that Islam is evil and they are all terrorists.  Amazing, isn't it?

I recently read an article on CNN.com about a guy who served 13 years in our military (Gulf War vet too) and now his employer told him he is on a no-fly list and if he can't get himself off of it, he will be fired.  Guess why he's on the list?  His wife was an immigrant from Pakistan, and he also converted to Islam.

The worst part?  The comments on the article from readers.  Post after post saying things like, "People! He is a Muslim!  And you want him on a plane???? I think NOT!"

There are so many pieces of $hit in this country.  It's especially bad during election season because they all come out of the woods.

people have a misconception in this country about Muslims ...even if Obama was a Muslim people will see him as a threat because he doesn't believe in the same invisible guy they believe in.

because muslim terrorist groups have stated they were going to destroy america from the inside so that would make most people worry. his father and step father were both radical muslims. another problem is obama has only been in the senate for four years and nobody knows a whole lot about him

Okay once again OBAMA IS NOT A MUSLIM, even if he were why would that be a big deal, if he were a member of the same religion as Bin Laden, would that mean he is best friends with him? No. Its the same as saying every Italian has connections to the mafia, they do not. Stop making religion and race and even age an issue when they are not.

Because, every American thinks Muslims are some how working on a big conspiracy to take over the world one day and rule the world under a caliphate. Books, articles are written about this stories of Muslims dream of ruling the world under that caliphate. Something the West is very fearful of.
