Why are people stupid enough to start wars?

I mean, don't these people know anything about the past 2,000 years? Every war causes more damage then it does good. Every war ends badly and causes people to suffer. What is it in people that make them want to invade other countries and kill off everything? The funny thing is, the people who start the wars are cowards and won't even fight in the war themselves. Do people like seeing other peoples lives ruined?

There will always be wars because they all have one thing in common which is Economics. That is the foundation of all wars among other things of course. Fighting over money and financial gain is what they are all about. You can't stop them.

It's more governments than people.  They have too much ego and the leaders are power-hungry.  Also, war is a big "industry".  If there's no war all those companies who make guns, missles, aircrafts, etc will be out of business.  It's foolish not to see their hand in politics of war.
