  1. because they were brutally murdered

  2. I have sympathy for the Romanovs. They are Saints in russian orthodox christianity...go figure...

  3. He had inherited a position he did not want and was not properly trained for. According to accounts I've read about him, he was intelligent and well educated but he was no leader. The fact that he and his family were massacred made many people feel more sympathetic towards them. None of them were evil tyrants yet they were so brutally murdered. He was simply the wrong person in the wrong job at the wrong time.

  4. I think he and his family are a tragic part of our history. They were left out to dry, by their relatives. They were 1st cousins of the British King Edward and his family. Many times Nicholas wrote to his cousins all over the world , to help him and his family. I think that is a sad  thing, when your relatives , won`t help you in anyway. They all spoke english and were british educated.   But, because of the political times, not one of them stepped up to help. And of course it was too late. So very sad.

  5. Because it were the evil evil communists who killed him. And because people are indoctrinated to have an irrational fear of communism (as opposed to a healthy sceptical attitude), those who oppose it are good guys by definition. In reality he was a brutal autocrat, and this was one of the very reasons why people revolted in the first place.

  6. probably just cause his daughter was a fox. or so movies have led me to believe.

  7. Because the Tsar and his family died tragically.  And, the old story that keeps coming around that the youngest daughter survived the Bolsheviks execution.

    best of luck to you!

  8. Because the British crown abandoned plans to rescue their cousins by ship. The King was fearful of having another royal family in England during wartime. Check the history books!

  9. bc the way that he died and his family died and leaving the country in the hands of the communists but he really was a jerk to his ppl

  10. Because his family and himself were murdered. After his murder people began to realize how he had tried to help Russia and that he was really following his wife's advice and not his own. They also feel sorry for him because the english monarch at the time, George V, was suppose to reascue Tsar Nicholas II and his family by ship but the plan was kept getting put off until it was too late to do anything.
