I have a problem with people who act like they are the defenders of "Freedom of Speech" while at the same time supporting "Censorship". Here is the bone that I have with them: They are quick to say it is censorship when a school panel opposes a teacher using a book used in a classroom in which there are expletives. Yet, those same individuals are quick to defend and support people, and giving all their exuses and reasons, who wants to exclude the study of "Intelligent Design" in the U.S. school system. HYPOCRITES!! HYPOCRITES!!!

  1. Preach, Bro, but you are WRONG.

Say what you want and I will disagree if I want to.

Give me the right to free speech and I will give you yours.

  2. Intelligent design and censhorshit are separate issues. ID, or creationism, is religion and therefore does not belong in a scince class. Evolution is science and if americans still believe in ID, they are being left in the dark ages as far as science goes. .

  3. I happen to think that any work of literature should be included in the curriculum of the schools.

And I would support the teaching of intelligent design in a class on comparative religions but is it science. to be taught as science I believe something needs to be proved as science.

  4. Freedom of speech didn't include for perverts, hate mongols, and radical terrorists to just come in and spread their garbage, sick ideas and vomit on the general population.....but to answer your question, I don't know.

  5. freedom of speech does not extend to calling religion science and doing so with government money

  6. Freedom of Speech doesn't (and never has) been a valid excuse for violating everyone else's Freedom of Religion.

  7. I agree with you.I have a problem with people using the 1st amendment to try to get rid of the 2nd amendment. The 2nd is more important to me. So if we get rid of the 1st, people will not have the right to speak out  against the 2nd. so we should get rid of the 1st.  My comment sort of puts anti guns Ideas in perspective.

  8. In addition to freedom of speech and censorship, your example introduces two other potentially conflicting values: freedom of religion and separation of church and state.  So, you can see that there is room for endless debate on the subject.
