  1. Sometimes a salesman must point out the benefits of ownership to a person who might be casually considering buying something, but isn't yet committed.  The salesman has to point out the advantages, and be ready to counter any objections or concerns expressed by the customer in order to make a sale.  This is being persuasive.  If your job is to convince people to buy, then it is a pretty vital  talent to have.
