Why are places like india and china growing rapidly economically?

China and India  have been poor for centuries mostly because their population grew as fast as the economy.  After an initial spurt in population growth following WWII both countries put in successful policies to limit population growth, It took a generation for these policies to have an effect and Globalizion has allowed them to access market in rich countries to accelerate their growth.

They have more consumers which means they produce more goods and services, more businesses.

They Export Alot

Their labour is getting more skilled

Higher population

More employment

Because they are starting from almost zero so they have a long way to go.  Economic growth is always most rapid when it first kicks in and then slows as it reaches the global average.
