Why are plants grow slowly than animals?

    and they r autotrophic, they contain phytohormones which results in their luxurious life.


  2. For the most part, there is not one that grows faster than the other.  Some plants grow much faster than animals.  It all depends on what type of evolutionary species it is.  

    Those that grow fastest tend to live in areas that are often disturbed or vary frequently.  These plants have the ability to make the most out of conditions that would  be inhospitible for many others.  Weeds (pigweed, purslane, etc.) and things like rodents have the ability to get in, grow quick, have many seeds/progeny (offspring) and be done.  Those that need an area that is going to stay consistent -- trees and larger animals -- take longer to mature.  They have fewer, larger seeds or progeny when compared to the amount of time it takes them to get to the point when they can reproduce.
