  5. Some ocean plants in deep water are red because only red wavelengths get there. Some plants are greyish-blue because they are desert plants and it reflects the heat.

  6. Well that's why anything is the colour it is. Different colours travel at different wavelengths.

    The actual reason is to attract various insects and animals, as well as warn them away. Nature has come up with some pretty interesting ways of saying, "Eat this, it's yummy" and "Eat this and DIE!"

  12. Plants aren't always green becuase there is all kinds of plants, each one has a unique purpose. The world has many climates, environments, elevations, and weather. Plant adapt to the challanges faced to them, if they need to change there color it's for the good.

  15. Ya kinda.  What makes plants green is the pigment chlorophyll and even though all plants contain some type of chlorophyll, some have other accessory pigments which override the chlorophyll and cause a different light wavelengths to reflect off.
