  1. It involves the plasma particles picking up the reception from the beta gun inside the tv to show you a picture.

Many tiny cells located between two panels of glass hold an inert mixture of noble gases (neon and xenon). The gas in the cells is electrically turned into a plasma which then excites phosphors to emit light.

    Actually, the screen has inert gases in it that jump to a plasma state when they have an electric charged passed thru them.
