Why are ppl so offended by marijuana smokers?

Cuz i got a notice to ma yahoo cuz i put up "spam".

Thats low man , live my lifestyle, and i keep it to myself out of the publics eyes.

I dunno, for the same reason they get offended when I smoke a cigarette, or why I'm from NYC, or why I'm Catholic, or Liberal. Nothing strikes more fear into the heart of a zombie, than the prospect of a clear thought.

I have no problems with people who want to smoke weed. My boyfriend smokes weed . His best friends and parents and other relatives smoke weed , my brother smokes weed as do 2 of my sisters and their boyfriends and i used to smoke weed. It calms people . There are a lot worse things out there like injecting herion or popping E's . =] x*x

People aren't so much offended by MJ smokers as they are annoyed by them.  When someone things of a pothead, they think of someone who sits around on welfare and plays video games all day while smoking.  This makes others mad because they do not pay their taxes to support retards.

Also, the stuff really smells bad.

I guess it is because ppl who smoke weed are almost always seen as lazy, stupid people who try to act 'cool'. I vote the contrary, however. Ya it's true that some smokers are like that, but most of my friends who smoke pot are great people who care about the world, and promote peace and love and good stuff like that. Personally, I find that it should have a better reputation than alcohol, which distorts a person way more than weed. Its probably stigmatized because it involves smoking the weed, as opposed to alcohol which is drunk. Smoking is deemed by western culture as kinda taboo, in my opinion, like hukkas for example. People automatically think the worst about them because you smoke it from a pipe, but really its not bad.

Because they have been taught that it is a drug like heroin or cocaine.  The government's classifying it as a drug was to try to control the anti-war protesters of the 1960's.  I think most people would be surprised to know how many people actually do smoke weed but they have to hide it or they could go to jail.  It is really silly if you ask me.  I would much rather alcohol was illegal because it causes much more damage to society than grass.

Hello,

At times they are better than heavy drinkers as I have never seen any smokers get violent. Many get on my nerves, however because whenever you need them for something they are not that reliable and their focus is on that next fix; furthermore when talking to them they are like the hearing impaired, off on a tangent and ignore you for the most part.

I don't like marijuana smokers because a.) when they are high they act very sluggish and stupid and b.) the smell is disgusting (much like a really bad dirty gym sock).
