  1. Because you can catch learning disorders and other problems and treat them early.

  2. While I was in school observations were important just for homework sake!  Now that I've worked in a preschool I love to get out there and observe other classes just to see how they handle different situations, get new ideas, and continue learning.

  3. There are a lot of  reasons why we can carry out child studies.

My reason for caring out this child study was to observe, and identify the developmental needs of preschool aged children. Also to see if the child is progressing, and help with the planning of activates, routines, or any other programs that are being used within the setting.

Other reasons for doing this study is to observe the Childs needs and milestones and find different ways in which to help them meet their milestones if needed. Also being able to report any findings to the Childs parents and other professionals within the setting. This is very important as most parents like to be informed on their Childs progress in preschool. It also shows the parent that the child is being looked after professionally and that the child is being treated as an individual while being left in the care of the preschool .  while doing observations also record all findings with the setting, so that if a problem or query arises the records are readily available for parents and other professionals to read if necessary. It will also be useful for your own learning and can identify the different needs of the children.

By doing this this study it will help you to improve on you own skills while observing other children in the preschool setting.
