Question:

Why are "Monster" type cables better than standard coax cables?

OK, here's my confusion:

If a standard coax cable coming from the wall to the cable box, has enough bandwidth for 200 channels (Some of them HD) why then wouldn't the same cable be more than enough to go from the cable box or DVD player to the tv, as opposed to using Monster Cables?

So if a simple coax has all that bandwith, why then can't or should it be used to connect all the devices to the tv?

Do the "Monster" cables produce better video/audio then using a coax? And if so, why?

  1. I believe monster cable are better but to expensive.  Unless you are a profession TV tester, you won't even notice the difference between Monster cable and unbranded cable (large size cable).

  2. They are better shielded from noise(outside interference) and built with better metals. all my equipment is wire with monster they are expensive for a reason because there GOOD.

  3. the connections are made of better metals that are designed for conductivity as well as the cables themselves. they also shield them so no radio frequencies will be picked up.
