  1. High temperature paint and radiation emissivity.


  2. It is merely for cosmetics.  The black hides the rad in the shadows behind the grille.  If it wasn't painted you would see when you looked @ the front of the vehicle.

  3. The colour black absorbs heat so it will take the heat out of the water and the fan will draw cool air thru the radiator and blow the hot air away.
