babies born from incest have a higher chance of being deformed. there are some deformities that only occur with inbreeding.

(cousins only have 2% of a risk if they have children together, compared to non-family members. thus some state let cousins marry and more doctors agree that its safe. just for comparisons of risks- people with a genetic disorder have a 50% risk and people over 40 have a 10% risk.)

Most of the time when incest occurs it only happens because of rape from a family member. I think that's why those 2 terms are coincided a lot.
