Why are shy guys so F-ING stupid and indecisive?

He's a shy guy and we've been spending time this summer. When we're 1-1, he'll be outgoing and play the "you have my pillow, gimmie"/tickle game. He would ocassionaly ask for movie nite and eventually when i would leave he would grab and cuddle with me; even hint at a massage and would give each other back massages. He started inviting me to his social events w. friends (weekend stuff) and asked to watch him play basketball. Even took care of him when was sick. This week I've never felt so close to him. He shared about his upbringing, was w. him and helped him w. shopping. I also brought him food for him @ work and was very grateful and was CHESSING.

NOW I texted him tonight asking what he was doing and it took him 2 hours to respond back...not his typical self where he would text right away. I asked if he wanted to go barhopping and he just responded "where" and i said i wasn't sure and hejust said, "haha". I kept drunk texting him 2x that night and never responded back... WHAT HAPPENED?? It's like he's switched again... :(

he is most probably hanging with the boys, and we all know boys will be boys, I suggest curling up in bed sobering up a little and then ringing him 2morrow

i think he is much more intrested on his work rater than u, one more thing is that he is not in love with u, he just treats as a g friend.

Whe you say he's shy which menas wary and distrustful; disposed to avoid persons or things; why he is like this could be very well comprehended by you!

He probably lacks self confidence and feels that he is not "good enough" for you. It's a  fear of rejection. He is certainly interested, but possibly thinks you will lose interest and dump him . He may also be worried that his family will turn you against him.

Shy guys are not stupid or indecisive  you need to calm down with that attitude ......just go visit him and ask him what's going on . Maybe he is afraid of relationships and feels pressure now that your getting closer to him. Good luck he is interested in you but may just be confused right now ,dating doesn't always come easy for everyone.
