  1. They are interested because, they now see what a huge mistake the war of independence was. They regret not having our monarchy being their head of state and instead, have a lying, inarticulate r****d who lied his way out of the Vietnam war, only to lie his country and many others, into what could easily, have turned into the third world war, after all,he was far from the enemy fire. There is only one country that has benefited from the Iraq war and that is america,Bush and his sneering vice president Cheney, being the biggest recipients.

To ace480,India gained it's independence from the U.K a long time ago, before Queen Elizabeth became Queen. It never did belong to her. Please get your facts straight. You talk about enslaving people, what has america done to the entire North american Indian nation? What has it done to Hawaii?Peurto Rico? The boast of the u.s.a is that there is no taxation without representation, what about Peurto Rico. They are taxed but they don't have the luxury of voting for the President of the u.s.a.Something that they may be happy to claim, with the present incumbant r****d in office.

  2. Because British Monarchy is are Allison

  3. You know how those americans are like.... they're obsessed with celebrities and stuff.....

  4. I would add that many Americans are naive on this score. Was GWB the best candidate in the whole country to be president? No? Then how come he became president? Could it be ... family influence?

What about Hilary Clinton? Would she have got close to securing the democrat nomination were it not for the fact that people knew her because of Bill? Yeah, she may be a good senator - but there's lots of senators.

It's not universally the case, but the US head of state is a lot less determined by merit and more by family influence and connections. At least the UK head of state is known in advance - we don't have to have the wasteful charade of the primaries, nominations and elections when the whole thing could probably be determined by asking the opinions of about 10000 people.

  5. because prince william is hot. =D

  6. This is just a reply to Ace.

I really hate it when Americans assume that just because some countries have a monarchy instead of an idiot that they're not a real democracy like AMERICA. Lots of countries still have a monarchy in place such a Spain, Denmark and Sweden.

I think that the Queen actually makes a really good head of state with her fluency in French she proves to be a very good host to other heads of state.

  7. the british monarchy has no real official power. we just find it interesting that a country thought to be one of the most powerful nations in the world still has stock in a family that doesn't make a damned difference. real power is in the people. not a monarchy that has systematically attempted to take over and enslave other countries and people that they have no right to. so we, as americans, and believers in democracy, do not wish to be like them...we just like to make fun of them! oh hey queen liz, india's NOT your country any more..just thought you should know..getting a little senile in your old age?
