Why are so many Presidents related to the Royal Family?

Last I checked the count was 25 US Presidents are related to each other and most of them can be traced back to the Royal Family.

Even Chaney and Powell made the list.

Any insight or thoughts on this?

Any detailed information?

  1. If you did any genealogy, you would find most people of European descent are related to royalty. Once you connect you tree to royalty it spreds throuhout every kingdom mine connects to eveery kingdom and over 100 kings and queens (the royal type). I am and I am related to George Washington, John Adams Sr & Jr, George Bush and the loser John Kerry.

  2. Aside from being related would of loved to have seen pictures of Reagan & Bush Senior getting nighted by the Queen of England somthing totally illegal to accept titles in our society.

  3. I know both daddy Bush and his son are related to one of the royal lines of England (I think it is the Stuart line but not sure) as for anyone else I don't know

  4. It's easily done.I have a budgerigar that is reputed to be distantly related to one of the queens corgis. Not one to brag but,I can trace my family all the way back to Popeye and on my mothers side to Blutto but,we don't talk about the black sheep of the family

  5. Most, if not all, of the Presidents of the United States are of Anglo-Saxon origin, so distant relationships are always possible, considering the large number of illegitimate children that some of the British Kings had.  For example, King Charles II, who reigned from 1660 until his death in 1685, had 10 children, but since all of them were born out of wedlock, the Crown passed to his brother, James II.

A President or other U.S. citizen may accept a knighthood if he has the consent of Congress.

  6. None British citizens do not get "knighted"!

  7. Haven't you ever heard of the First Families of Virginia and the Mayflower Pilgrims?  Most US Presidents can trace at least some of their family history back to either an early New England family or to colonial Virginia.  Their earliest ancestors in the New World, in turn, for the most part emigrated from either Southern England or else from Scotland or Northern Ireland. Because of this lineage, statistically the odds are that most English and Scottish-Americans can eventually trace their lineage back to Scottish or English Royalty given enough time and effort.  However, most of their ancestors weren't famous.

  8. I was unaware of that, but I would imagine you could make a connection between alot of people if you trace it back far enough.  The United States is a former British colony so many people would have relatives in the UK.

Alot of the top politicians in the US were descendants of British aristocrats, so it makes sense that so many presidents would have some connection with the British.  The Royal Family is also rather large, so that would play a role too.  For example, during World War I, British, German, and Russian royalty were all related.

  9. Because America is owned by Britain, but more accurately the European Royals (all the same). America once seeked independance from the monarchy, and terrible idea of the Bank of England. Then we introduced the completely different and not bad in any way "Federal Reserve" which is nothing like the BoE (at least thats what America thinks). The monarchy was replaced by a large scale puppet show, where the population would vote for a few puppets that were specially selected for them (it gave the illusion of demoracy). I seem to remember Reagan and Bush getting on their knees, and bowing for the Royal family at some point, wouldnt that make them traitors?

Well jokes/speculation aside, its very uncommon, and its not true that nearly everyone is related to the royals in some way. I believe Bush was also related to Churchill. The thing you should be asking, is why any of them are related in the first place. Why would you get Bush 2 or Clinton 2 or any of family ties in a democracy? I hardly think its because they are the best suited to the job. You might like to see how many of them happened to be in the same fraternities also.

Although I'm tired and useless right now, I've got an interest in this too, and I'd like to see some sources/proof on this, because I've heard the families can be traced back a LONG way. I know that the british royal family is actually german, and the european royal families can be traced back to Rome, and beyond.

Might even be that a few select families always have and always will be our masters.

Oh, and look at Bush/Clinton family n**i ties, and possibile links to Aleister Crowley! Very interesting too.
