Why are so many americans hating on chinese?

I hear and see so much junk and hate against chinese people especially now during the olympics. I'm white, 100% american and proud of it but can't stand or tolerate racism or when I hear racist remarks, etc. People need to wake up and realize that Chinese people helped build America! Everything ranging from they way the look, their names and everything else imaginable, I guess there will always be haters in this world no matter what. They do good in the olympics and everybody starts pointing fingers and accusing them of being cheaters. I just heard a lady the other day say "they're all named Ching"...from a 40 yr old lady! I wonder if they say Americans are all named "john or mike"...Like I said I'm PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN but eff all you racist pigs that give us a bad name!

It's quite the irony to hear many of those who bash the Chinese constantly are the same ones who do not think twice about running into their local Wal-Mart and stocking up on cheap, Chinese-made goods.  It's one thing to harshly criticize the ideals and actions of the Chinese government; it's totally another to bash an entire 5000+ year-old culture, which consists of about 1/5 of the entire world's population.  A lot of Americans truly are ignorant not only of the rest of the world but also their own country's history.
