A while back this year, I posted a question about a person who had been holding a postion of trust and authority in the local community having been arrested for possession of drugs. The contraband drugs included many street drugs such as psylocybin (magic mushrooms), crack, cocaine and cannabis. The guy had been appointed by a former socialist government as a prominent member of the board of the local health district. It was interesting to learn that in addition to some of the commonly-known street drugs that were found in his possession were some drugs that most people assume are confined to hospitals. The man also was the director of a local theatre company which holds a festival of alternative theatre notorious for robbing and hunting down its volunteers on the system.

I am just submitting an update. The man was also found to be in possession of child pornography on his computer. In the last week, another conservative-looking employee of City Hall also was charged with having child pornography on his computer. In fact, I can recall learning on the news of three other persons besides the two mentioned who have been convicted of this criminal offense. Two of them were teachers at the time.

Up to now, the offenders who have been exposed have been male persons, but I guess it is difficult to say what tomorrow may bring.

What I would like to know is why so many people who have been assumed to be respectable are now being exposed in this way.

Please do not try to tell me that this form of voyeurism is harmless because the pervert is only interacting with the computer monitor. Obviously, the children have been recruited from somewhere by some means in order to pose for the pictures and film footage.

It makes you wonder where the so-called safe people are. Are they in the bars? Are they in the soup lines? It is sure frightening.

  1. I think that: a/ no one has any shame anymore for what they do.

Society always has an excuse for them. They have bad childhoods they have been abused themselves etc so no one takes responsibility anymore. It is all right to be as immoral as you want to be because

no one looks down on you anymore. As a result people who in the past would not follow up on their more perverted desires are doing

so now. b/ the internet has made p**n so widespread and available that anyone can download it from the safety of their home. Before the internet you would have to go somewhere to buy the stuff and risk being caught. The risk was enough to keep people away from the stuff. No risk now so a lot more people are doing it.  Because s*x is so

wide open now people have become inured to regular sexual activities

and need more and more stimulation hence the lure of the truly

forbidden ie child p**n.  I also think that people who are rich or

in positions of authority think that they are above the law and will never get caught.
