  1. read it in a book? i read that black ppl are most likely to live in a bad neighborhood and if they are in a single parent home or have parents with below a HS diploma then you are most likely to become criminal?

Do you believe this?...because i dont...........i happen to be quite the opposite..same stats different result...also remember lionel tate? his mother was highway patrol a state trooper or something but her son ended up committing murder and armed robbery......so he has a positive influence but make bad decisions....stats are useful in providing the dots its up to you to decide if they connect

  2. stereotypes

  3. I recently looked at a prison record and this wasn't true...the ratios were mor like 20% white, 30% black 25% latino origin, 15% pacific Islander and 5% asian( something like that..I'm not exactly sure on the exact percentages). This 75% thing( whether or not tis true) isn't everyone else's fault..its the person who did the crime who went to jails fault. I realize, yes, some are falsy accused and that is wrong and sad..but many are not. I do not beleive this is a result of racism( otherwise there would be no white men in prison..etc) but just a result of culture. Many people( whether black, white, PURPLE, etc) who either are in gangs or closely follow the "gangster" way of life will end up in jail because these ways of life involve a lot of illegal things( rape, burglary, murder, illegal drug use). So I say everyone should be take responsibiltiy for their own issues. We shouldn't feel like its our fault that theres only 25% of people in jail are not black( if its really true)..Its not our fault..its the criminals fault. I believe this brings on even more racism( the fact that thinking any one who isn't white should have special rights...which isn't true...all should have equal rights).

  4. I'm WHITE, but I don't think its fair that blacks go to prison more often than Whites, as their are a lot of good black and white people.  Some times racist plays a role, which it shouldn't in today's society, but unfortunately it still does.

I don't know, but I do know that people who go to prison usually don't start out life well.  Its how they were raised or where they were raised and whether or not their parents gave them the proper attention and got them the help they needed when they were young to learn right from wrong.  Some of it is mental illness and others is just plain stupidity or bad decision making (i..e, drugs, money).

Its a shame we have anyone in prison, but its the world we live in.  There will always be people trying to beat the system, not following the rules and just rebelling.

  5. "Keep your ignorance to yourself."

    fine

  6. well if u do bad things u go to jail.more blacks break the law

  7. because we go to jail for things that white ppl get off for ... for example a black man could go to jail for 10 yrs and a felony for possession of Marjana.or crack and a white man can get community service for possession of coke . i truly believe that the system is still unfair... although black men could realize this and stop caring drugs or committing crimes they dont!

  8. Because anyone with a felony offense cannot vote, ever again.

So judges and lawyers throw the book at black criminals to prevent their ability to vote/ affect the government.

  9. It's because most judges and lawyers are white. Also, laws are passed to indirectly affect blacks more than whites. An example of this is the law regarding crack. Someone caught with crack will get more time in prison than someone caught with cocaine. Why? Because whites know that most people using crack are black while whites normally stick with cocaine......

  10. I don't really have a good answer to this question, but I think they're are so many black men in prison because I truely believe there is a different law for blacks and whites.

  11. Black men are NOT, as you say "the future of this world."  Only Al Sharpton says ignorant things like that.

Blacks have been fed the unfortunate belief that they are victims, since slavery ended.  Many lazy, ignorant people of that culture continue to use that as an excuse to stay lazy and ignorant and be victimized, causing many of them to end up breaking laws and going to jail.  It's a shame to the African-American culture.  A few bad apples can spoil the bunch, as far as stereotypes go.

Education is available to everyone in America.  Why some choose to not utilize it to create a better life for themselves is beyond me.

Most black young men, where I live, wear a "uniform" of baggy jeans and an even baggier white t-shirt.  Why is this?  It's so the police can't identify a "black male in white shirt and jeans."  This isn't a coincidence.  These "black males" you speak of are failing themselves.  They do it to themselves.

Ask them.  Quit trying to save those that don't want to be saved.

  12. lower class people commit the most crimes..

unfortunately, a lot of low class people are african american.

although, there are a lot of white, hispanic, asian, criminals.

there is a statistic though, 7 out of every 10 inmates on death row are african american.

    i think it's sad.

but i do agree that there are a lot of racist judges out there, still. black people seem to  get longer sentences than white people,  in some cases, and i believe it's still determined on race.

    i wish things would change.

  14. You asked a race related question, therefore, should be prepared for any response. I think it's a vicious cycle that just keeps repeating itself. However, I don't buy that they are all in there as a result of racial profiling or stereotyping. As long as we sit back and just speculate, nothing happens. The only way to correct the situation is for black leaders and community members to invest in their children.

  15. Because the World needs more people like you to wake them up!!

    I know it's sad.

  16. I have no good answer for that questions all I have is lot of speculations.
