  1. for the entirety of human existent men have been looked forced to keep their emotions in check so they can not let their emotions interfere with the decisions they have to make.  this comes from men leading most often.

besides only ******* cry.  men don't cry or wear pink.  men play football and have bad backs and stuff.

  2. Tradition. Keep in mind that your life is easy compared to what it was even as recent as WW2.

  3. because thats what their fathers were taught - be who youa re and teach your child the same - it is the only way to change the future

  4. Because people are weak. if they are teaching them to be hard cold people, that shows their own weakness. I agree it's a shame. I hope to teach my daughters to not go after guys of that personality. I also hope to teach my son to be kind, loving, and caring. I want to prepare my kids to make great spouses later on in life. Not condem them to miserable loveless relationships.

  5. yea, i would hate 2 b with a man that doesn't share his feelings with me.  (all of us girls wants 2 know what their boyfriend is feeling)

well GOD Blessed me, and lucky 4 me, my bf tells me how he feels about everything.

we talk about problems, s*x, love, life, religion, etc. everything.

  6. I reject the assertion.

  7. men don't believe that being open and honest about their feelings is "manly", but really girls appreciate a guy who is open about his feelings! since younger boys observe what the older men are doing, not opening up on their feelings, the believe it is the right thing too and don't open up about their feelings!

  8. What do you mean by being honest about their feelings.  To whom, themselves ?  I do not think its always good to tell everyone what you feel.  I prefer to keep my feelings inside myself and write to express them.  I do not wish to waste my time telling others my sob stories.  I am responsible for my

own life and my own feelings.  Being honest to yourself about your feelings is important.

We are all independant human beings.  Despite what our parents teach us we have the choice to do what we want in life.

Its not a sign of weakness.  It shows that a man is emotionally strong if he can express his feelings.  Men who cannot lack self-worth and self confidence.  Being who you are and accepting your self has nothing to do with masculinity.  It is something we all should do!  People who have no empathy ae quite dull and boring.  Passion and emotion are exciting.  You just need to know how to manage them.  Not getting annoyed by what others think and do is important.

  9. Are they? How does this happen? I am not saying it's not true, but I am a single mother of two boys and I try very hard to encourage them to be honest about their feelings, without actually prying my nose in where it doesn't belong.  I was under the impression that being reserved about one's emotions, stiff upper lip, brave front and all that, came with the testosterone.

  10. Tradition. In days where you had to struggle for every meal and breath It was nessasary for men to appear and be"tough both mentally and phisicly" Now this is counterproductive but old habits die hard

  11. i think its a pity to many women like it when men express their feelings and why is it that a man being feminine is g*y or wrong?  sorry i know this doesnt answer your question

  12. old fashioned views in society. some people seem to think they still have a part in today's life. it's sad that guys are taught that still   x

    please can you help?
