Why are so many gas stations closing?

Some say people are not purchasing items inside the gas stations, where most owners make their money...OR

The owners can not afford to pay for the gas itself.

What say you?

  1. The gas cot to much money , and they might not be getting that much costermers , so they are losing money instead of gaining


  2. Gas stations earn maybe $0.01 - $0.05/cents per gallon. That money cannot run the business. Stations make all their money on buying candy bars for $0.25/cents and reselling them for $1.25. But if people are pumping all their cash into the gas pump, few will opt to run inside for that $1.25 candy bar.
