Why are so many guys disappointed that they are short?

I am only 5' 7" and could care less how short I am. If a woman won't date me because i am too short, then that's good. I wouldn't want to date her anyway. Its almost like my shortness prevents me from getting into bad relationships. So why are there so many guys desperate to get taller?

i think men view height as a notch on their belt if you will, some men love basketball and dream of playing in the pros, and they know that height is essential in doing so.  It seems that the world loves tall men.  But not everyone can be tall, and it's good to know that you don't take it to heart.  We are all different sizes & shapes & colors and unique in our own way.

I don't understand it either.  I've seen so many questions on here saying, "how can I get taller?" or "what kind of exercises could I do to be taller?"

Why?!?!  I don't get it.  Be happy people with the height that you are!  Everyone is born the way they should be.  Embrace that!!

They do. Just think of famous short people: Napoleon Bonaparte (4'10"), Danny De Vito (5'0"), Tom Cruise (5'7"), etc...

What's important is you make the best out of it. By the way, I am 5'6" . . . and lovin' it!

I agree with you, it doesn't matter how short or tall you are you. i do not know why guy make such a big thing about. i am a guy and I am only 5'2. I think a lot of guy think tall girls are sexier, maybe it because they look more like models.

maybe coz they will feel intimated or less security.. height is part of appearance so it varies with different people.. like some people matter how they look while some don't. the same applies..

this is because you are the man of the house and that means you are normally the dominant one so being bigger then your partner makes you feel more confident and dominant.

I'm short and I don't have a problem with it.  I'm about 5'5"  I get a lot of short jokes at work, big deal.  Sometimes I have to get creative to reach things or just ask somebody tall, that's what they were made for.  There is no car or cheap airline seat that I don't fit into.  I think it's a lot easier to be short than to be too tall.

Most guys who want to be taller are either thinking sports or girls.  Many girls like their man to be taller but if they really turn you down just because of your height, they are too shallow for you anyway.
