  1. The population is increasing because we're smart enough to improve our natural survival rates but not smart enough to understand or address the explosion in our population numbers that results.

As populations grows demand for land (and many other precious, limited natural resources) must grow too.

  2. The overpopulation problem is primarily  caused by lack of education among women in third world countries. This overpopulation is the reason for the thoughtless draining and overexploitation of the world's natural resources, with little or no thought being given to the consequences of this destruction. I share your wish, but I don't know what to do about this either.

  3. its all about $$$

    more houses= more $$$

    more pollution= more products= more $$$

  4. because people keep multiplying

  5. It's all based on economics.

  6. The population is increasing because baby making is becoming ever more popular with the youth dependent age groups..

and also because death rates are lower than birth rates =]

and i dont know about the whole building houses on forests..

but like oomg.. that should so not be happening..

    =O

    =]

  7. uhmmmm,

    because

    women+men=children

cuz theres more people increasing! and they needa go somewhere.
