Why are so many immigrants so disrespectful towards U.S. Immigration Laws?

Once Edward James Olmos was interviewed by public television to share his views on immigration and the same question came up. his answer to this was (I don't remember his exact words buy you wil get the idea):

You know you need water to survive. and you have many days without water , your are thirsty and you know you will died if you don't drink water soon ( your survival depends of it).  You    Need   Water!  

now you see there is plenty water at one place.

the question now is:

will you died for the lack of water or will you try to get to that place were the water is and drink it before you die?

Greed is when you have something and you want MORE.

most immigrants don't have nothing , do you think they like to break the law. NO

It is their only choice.

Do think they like to come here to another alien culture and leave their  children , mother and  father behind and wonder when they will see their children again?

No , they do it out of necessity.

Many immigrants have years; 10.15 ,20 years without seeing their children or mother in their homeland.

tell me what drives this people to leave their love ones and experience This hardship .

You now what,... THEY NEED WATER!!

for the same reason all criminals are disrepectful and refuse to obey the laws..they think they are too good to have to do it..they think the laws don't exist for them and that they shouldn't have to. and notice i said ALL criminals which illegals are once they cross that border.A thief thinks that since he's broke that justifies his crime. A rapist wants s*x..it justifies his. Illegals want to come here for the FREE stuff and so they think that making excuses justifies a valid reason. People like that have no respect for themselves, the country, it's laws or human lives..whether illegals, rapist, thieves. same aspect

You just asked this question so that you can have all of the ignorant people showing their hatred. You can't judge all of the immigrants by a few that you may have seen. Also, ask yourself this question: Why has the US been so disrespectful with the rest of the world (making wars, having practices that affect the environment, etc, etc).

Think about it. An illegal uses a stolen ss#. Uses it to work and obtain credit. It's a felony in AZ, but the judge reduces it to a misdemeanor, time serves (150 days), and $45 fine. Illegals are arrested for deportation but because they have an anchor baby the judge gives them legal status, or chooses to ignore the situation and the family continues to live here illegally. People have lived here 20 years and more and never been asked about their status. Where is the incentive to respect our laws. Our own gov, and legal system don't respect them.

Their decision usually is should I obey the immigration law of a foreign country or make a better life for my family.  Many of us would make the same choice.

The better question is if they decide to come here (illegally or not), why don't they try harder to obey the other laws and assimilate.
