  1. because al bore is a joke.

He preaches a good line but he does not listen to himself.

He speaks of global warming as if man is the cause and the effect, when every day someone els comes out and shows just how far off base albore is.

If you want to admire a person that wants to bankrupt America, force the USA back into a pre-industrial age, promote taxation to pay for his plan, then he is your man.

  2. He doesn't follow his own policy's he expects everyone to go green but he hasn't he also wants to ad a carbon tax.

  3. The guy is a yahoo and a hypocrit.

He's making assumptions that global warming is entirely a man made phenomena when there is no scientific proof at all. Yes, man may be contributing to it but most scientists agree it has more to do with cyclical global climate changes. This has been going on since the beginning of time...the earth warms a couple of degrees then cools a couple of degrees...glaciers form and then melt over many hundreds or years.

He's a hypocrit because he talks about conserving energy and one's "carbon footprint" when he has one of the largest carbon footprints in the entire country. Do a little research on the size of his house and what his electric bill is. It's absurd...like several thousands of $$$ per month. The dude is a whack job. Generally speaking he's a good guy...I like him better than Bill Clinton...but his views are out there.

    Hope that answers your question.

  4. People are just naturally suspicious of someone who claims to have invented the internet.

  5. Because, quite simply, he's making money off it. From his movie, to his speeches, to his investments in companies offering carbon credits.

Add to that, he's a major hypocrite. His carbon footprint is larger in a year than many people make in their lifetime.

  6. Evidently you weren't around during the Clinton administration when he promised to reduce government spending and waste, or when he illegally used his position to solicit campaign funds but dodged that issue when he cited the fact that there was "no controlling authority" to stop him (in other words"whose going to stop me?").

Personally, I dislike all politicians. His party doesn't matter to me. In any event, I can't understand why he's considered some kind of authority on "Global Warming". He has no training in any related field, his movie is riddled with mis-information, and he actually hasn't accomplished anything in that regard. At the very least you'd think he'd come up with at least some minor method to rectify the situation.

  7. Thats easy its because  deNille is not the only river that can overflow these days.

  8. Because they have Al-Gore-a-phobia.   They are terrified that had all the votes been counted correctly their hero - Mr. Bush - would have lost Florida.

Because they still believe in a smear campaign that was used against him - including turning his boasting of his support in the senate of technology - including sponsoring legislation expanding the old AARPnet system into a consumer/civilian network - a network which has since expanded into the WWW - into a mockery of something he actually did.

Because Bush has been such a miserable failure as a president that they would rather demonize Gore than admit that they were taken in by a tough talking con man.

Global warming is scary.  It's easier to put down people who point out a problem than it is to take personal responsibility for one's life - or even acknowledge a problem and take a few steps in the right direction.

The national GOP has become a pale mockery of it's former self.  An addiction to outrage and holier than thou attitudes seems to have replaced ideals such as lower taxes and smaller government (the latter of which, streamlining government, Gore was in charge of during the Clinton years - and succeeded far better at it than any Republican has even dreamed possible).   There are still some smart Republicans out there whom I respect (i.e. George Will), but they are generally drowned out by the shrill whining of troglodytes like Coulter and O'Reiley.

  9. Well, he lost credibility to me when he claimed he invented the worldwide web.

    Sure, Al.....sure ya did.

  10. Al Gore lives one way and tells you to live another.  Yes, you should live an green life while he jets around the country, his house makes a rather large carbon footprint.  But according to him that's ok because he can then sell those ridiculous carbon credits to gullible people while he still lives the good life.

Oh yeah, by the way, I drive a Neon.  And I don't believe in Global warming.

  11. Liking Al Gore means accepting the environment as more important than the economy (at least that is the general view).  I've done a lot of research on this.  Al Gore threatens the hard energy path (oil, coal, gas, nuclear) that is embedded into our social system.  It's all we know and to change is scary.  Admitting he is right is admitting the sobering reality that each of us must consume less in order to pass along a healthy, sustainable planet for others.

They say he is a hypocrit for having a 20 room house even though his office and his wife's office are both ran from his home.  They pay the electric company over five thousand dollars EXTRA to buy all of their electricity from alternative energy.

Really, people make assumptions about him that aren't true when all you have to do is google and this stuff comes up everywhere.  As far as switching to a soft energy path (renewable energy), their only needs to be investment to make it possible.  The techonology exists.  With windpower alone, the earth is capable of producing twice as much energy as the demand would require.

Switching to alternative energy is not only profitable for you and I, it's benefits the world until the end of life as we know it.   And for those claiming global warming is a myth, we're worried about climate change which is a very obvious reality.  The USA is one of the only nations dismissing climate change as a hoax because it was ordered to be changed.  This all occurred before Congress when the guy admitted he changed all this stuff to lie to the American public.  What harm comes from being a better global steward anyway?

  12. He's made a career out of peddling a global-warming crisis which many people think is bunk!

  13. Because although he didn't invent the internet, he did invent global warming.

  14. Cynics include people that proudly drive their hummers and SUVs, and others that don't believe in global warming.

  15. O.K., try this website:

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/hous...

  16. people just don't want to realize that perhaps someone is right. He in a way criticizes everybody and the mistakes we've all made. People pretty much hate him cause he is right.

  17. It started many, many moons ago when Al Gore was vice president and boasting that he invented the internet.  And it has just gotten worse since then.  Al Gore says he is working to fight global warming all the while flying around in his 747, and riding in SUV's.  while I personally have no like or dislike for the guy, if you believe in something, then go all the way, dont get caught slacking.

  18. its just the democrat who wnat what the wnat.

  19. Well, he did NOT invent the internet like he claimed.  West Side Story was NOT about him like he claimed.  He knows NOTHING about the scientific side of global warming.  AND the biggest thing,  he does NOT practice what he preaches.  He is "do as I say, not as I do".

  20. Heap big man-bear-pig speak with forked tongue

  21. Cuz he's a dip sh*t
