Why are so many people hating on China?

I was there last week for the Olympics. I talked to the stadium workers, the locals, the shop owners....they are some of the nicest people I've ever met!! The magnitude of respect they shown to me is something I've never encountered in a western democracy.

Everyone there seems politics-free. In fact, most of the people don't even care about what the government does

so ya, why are people hating on China?

Because the Chinese are using falsified documents to allow underage people from their country to participate in some events.

It's the government we're hating on:

No free press (do you know what that really means?)

No free television (all programs regulated by the government)

No voting rights (imagine that!)

One child per family (get pregnant twice and be forced to abort)

Off to Jail without legal representation

Town suffers a natural disaster - too bad for them

Those olympic champions - taken from their homes at the age of 3

The olympics were set up to show only the good side of China.  You've apparently fallen for it hook, line, and sinker!

Im pretty sure the people living in Teibet feel an very diffierant way. Additionally, many of our jobs have gone to China who DOES NOT compete on an even playing feild.  It makes sense the people in China are happy as their quality of life has been much improoved at the expense in large part of middle class America.

China human right is very poor. China itself is so huge, and  they still want tibet,mongolia,taiwan, the spartly island.They treat your own poor people like slave or animals.

It's either bigotry or ignorance. Why people should feel like this I really don't know  -  insecurity perhaps. The Chinese have put on a fantastic games and showcased their incredible country as well. And China have probably made progress on care for humanity in the last 10 years than any other country in the world.
