Why are so many people hating on Nabby??

I dont get it. He is the best NHL goalie, deserved the Vezila trophy and much more. and stop sayin he khazakstnian! if he was he couldnt play for russian when they KILLED canada

That's not making fun of him, that's jealousy.

Nabokov has russian citizenship, therefore he can play for team Russia.

-Each player must be under the jurisdiction of an IIHF member national association.

-Each player must be a citizen of the country he represents

-Prove that he has participated for at least two consecutive years in the national competitions of his new country during which period he has neither transferred to another country nor played ice hockey within any other country.

-Have an international transfer card (ITC) that shows the transfer to the national competition of his new country and which was approved and dated at least two years before the start of the IIHF competition in which he wishes to participate.

Nabby is in all fairness, a russian representative.

omgg thank you & im not one of those people that are hating on nabby. yes he definatly deserved the vezina & he deserves alot more (the stanley cup..hehe) but anyways ya i totally agree with you on that one.

I have read a lot of stuff since the end of the season but i dont think i heard of anyone hating on him.  I'm a devils fan and I think it was close, but Nabby should have gotten the Vezina this year.  I think it was a lot closer than a lot of people are saying.  SOme people think Brodeur should have gotten blown out but thats not true.  

You say he is the best NHL goalie....that might be a bit overly stated.  He's good.  I'd say top 3 [duhh Vezina nominee :)] , but I dont think you can simply say he's the best NHL goalie.  In a few year very likely but dont jump to conclusions.

I havent heard anyone hating on him but that doesnt mean they arent doing it, but your right he deserves a lot of respect, he had a great season

If they are, they shouldn't be. Nabokov is the BEST goalie in the NHL right now and I think that he deserves many accolades. I think that the only time I hate Nabokov is when he is playing my favorite team...lol

I was fortunate enought to see him in MN on the glass and all I can say is WOW! He is just outstanding. Im sure that the Sharks will be tough to beat again next year!

I agree. He's been the most consistent over the past 3 years and got robbed of the Vezina. It's the friggin' east coast bias. Hey nationaly press stay awake for a few more hours and watch every game.

Nobody's hatin on Nabby.

Nabby is an extremely talented goalie and is well respected among the NHL players and fans around the league.  Even here on Yahoo Answers, Nabby's got a number of supporters.

Probably "hating" is too strong a word.  Most likely it's the whole East vs. West thing.  I personally have seen enough of him to know that he's definitely one of the top 3 goalies in the NHL.  But since he plays for a team on the West coast, not many of us here in the East get a chance to see a whole lot of him.  As for playing for Russia, I'm pretty sure wherever you were born, all you need is a passport from whatever country you play for and IIHF approval, so I don't see where that's even an issue.
