Question:

Why are so many people making such a big deal about Brett Favre wanting to play football?

I place all of the blame for this situation on the Packers organization. They wanted to move forward with Aaron Rodgers so they pushed Brett to make a decision without having an opportunity to think things over. They wanted to move on and at the sametime make sure Brett retired a Packer. The guy can still play the game at a high level. He still plays the game like he's a kid. Why is everyone making such a big deal of this? He's not the first person to do this and he won't be the last. Did people make a big deal out of it when Strahan did it last year, what about Michael Jordan, Roger Clemens, Phil Jackson. It happens all the time, get over it and let the guy play the game he loves to play.

  1. its just da haters,,,probly pats fans still mad!!

  2. Hey!! Sports fans are in the know . They have a flare for the absurd  and since there is little else happening on the world scene , why not argue the pros and cons of Brett Farve's actions.

  3. I totally agree with you. I am a huge Packers fan, but I have to go on Brett's side on this one. He never started the drama. Thompson did. Brett has only talked in two interviews. Dont Forget Jerry Rice did the EXACT same thing. He retired from the 49ers then came back and played for the Raiders. How was that any different from Brett Favre's situation? I dont remember that being such a big deal.

  4. Am a vikings fan to start with and let it be known that brett was force to retire thats why he left the game, one of the greatest players ever let him go where ever he want, he has proven that he can still play at the age of 38 so if he change his mind so what he has all rights too, so if the packers dont want him send him over cuz in him will have one of the greatest qb in the history of the nfl a future hall of famer, so packers let him play or trade him where ever he want to go as an organisation you owe him that much.

  5. he may be really good but when you act like a flake you need to be treated as one

  6. Its over he will be playing ****** for the Jets !!!! Maybe we can talk about something other than Brett its finally over !!!!!

  7. nobody's making a big deal about him wanting to play football, it's about him retiring and then coming back when the team had already moved on without him because he didn't give them an answer soon enough.

  8. Have you ever had a relationship (romantic, employer, other) with someone who won't commit?  He took a long time to retire the two previous seasons.  He made the tearful speech.  The Pack has to make plans, not hang on his day to day whims.  He had plenty of time to think it over.

    Quit stringing everybody along!

  9. it's news to follow. Personally I want no more of it.

  10. If he was going to the bears then you would be making a big deal about it too.
