Okay I get that a lot of you are Republicans and you don't agree with his political policies. But I'm so sick of seeing all of these questions like "Why is Obama running?" Please spare me with why McCain is so amazing, I want to know why you feel the need to trash obama. Are you scared your party is going to loose? Are you Racist?

  1. Because he needs to be trashed. And I'm not scared of anything. I feel confident that my candidate will do well in November. And why is it because I don't support a black that I'm racist. You don't support McCain. Are you racist?

  2. There is no clear answer for this question, only opinions. The closes I can think of coming to answer your question is that it's easy. Many of the aggressors here are trolling for simple entertainment, to get reactions from other readers. Some questions are even presented as such, but end up being answers for others to respond to. Think of it as election air, that can get quite hot on yahoo.

  3. I don't know. I haven't quite warmed up to him yet. I was going for Hillary, but that didn't work out... I don't like how all of these commercials are saying how awful Obama is. Is that their strategy? It sucks, and it pisses the rest of us off big time.

  4. Maybe its the stigma of what Obama did to Clinton that sticks in everyone mind, there is no good candidate on either side.

  5. Why wouldn't so many people trash Obama?  He is an empty suit with no experience.

  6. your last question answered it for me in a way. I am tired of being told that I am racist for not supporting him because I don't believe in his stances, policies, and ideas.

  7. When people aren't mature or intelligent enough to participate in an earnest dialog about the two candidates, they resort to childish name-calling, juvenile jabs, repulsive insults, lies, half-truths or simple personal attacks.

It's too bad so many people choose to take part in this forum without adding to its credibility or integrity. Instead, they choose to minimize their impact by maximizing their arrogance, ignorance, neglect, sloth and hubris. So, if they prefer John McCain, they slur Barack Obama. If they support Barack Obama, they choose to heckle John McCain.

It's typical of an American society that has grown up in an era of rogue politics and mean-spiritedness. Why try to add intellectual capital to discourse when it's easier just to sling mud?  -RKO-  07/31/08

  8. Because this race is suppose to be a democratic victory. Meaning that most Americans disagree with the policies of Mr. McCain. So the Republicans have reverted to a different strategy, don't attack policy, attack the candidate. The Republicans have proven that if you make up a lot of  things ( He is a "secret-muslim", a flip flopper, not a patriot, hats the troops, is himself a racist etc etc) that some people will believe some of those lies. It is their best strategy.

  9. It has become Republithug tradition to trash their opponents. Its part of the Bush legacy and it worked up until the midterm elections when the Dems almost regained control of Congress.

  10. My opinion is I think someone better than Obama and McCain should be running. I am not voting I have nothing to vote for I think both suck.

Obama can cool it however with the race card seriously who cares what race you are.

  11. We're just returning the favor.

"they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them"

    "God dam* America"

"It's embarrassing. It's embarrassing when when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German, and then we go over to Europe and all we's can say is Merci beaucoup."

"We’re a country that is just downright mean."

"just air raiding villages and killing civilians"
