Why are so many people trying to prove the existence of God?

99.9% of you can't even do a simple geometric proof yet you proclaim yourselves to be experts in logic and reasoning and are superior in intelligence to the effect of determining that God exists or doesn't exist.

I propose that you are all a bunch of morons that can't even prove the best way to wipe your own a.s.s. let alone prove the existence of God.

Maybe, just maybe--you should just accept that God exists and go from there without trying to rationalize anything in your irrational minds.

  1. Ouch, that's a bit harsh.

I personally think that a lot of people NEED a god.  They feel that their lives aren't important enough to be worth anything without some all-knowing creature looking out for them.

  2. Used to be all about faith, now they're competing which belief takes less faith.....must have been something we said LOL...

  3. ah...!! Go get some knowledge Kid... Even if u r not a kid, u r talking like a 2 year old!!

  4. The book of revelation is enought.

  5. because of love,,,.

we want that all people would be saved on the judgment day

  6. Ahem...I think you better look in the mirror before you go calling people morons and such.  Atheists (and I assume that's who you're insulting) aren't looking for proof of god.  We know no such thing exist.  However, you morons insist otherwise and we're simply telling you to put your money where your mouth is

  7. ......

    and.... what your point?

    wanna cookie?

    what's with the ranting?

  8. To many the proof of existence is important. This little feud has been ongoing for over 2000 years.

Also, it is not your place to judge anyone. Being able to do a math problem doesn't necessarily make one intelligent in all aspects of life. to me it looks as if you are full of yourself, and other stuff.

  9. It's a simple human flaw really. Humans have a natural desire to learn and discover why and how things can exist and be. We have a need to learn. But humans are also prone to believing anything they hear as long as its repeated enough. But they still have that natural desire to discover so those 2 things collide and they are stuck trying to explain something that doesn't exist.

  10. i guess they those christians have nothing else better to do with there lives

  11. so exactly whos side are you on? the people who do it in real life are loosers. the people who do it on cyber space are just having fun poking fun at beliefs

  12. First off, Pascal's wager is not honest...it is simply not honest to pretend to believe something you don't believe - even if it is for the benefit of those with lesser intelligence...sorry, some people have a problem with that...

As for the other end of the spectrum...Part of it is they simply don't want to be wrong - who does?  It's human nature to defend your intelligence...

...I think another reason though is the social engineering they believes comes with a belief in God - that somehow believers in God are much more ethical/moral people...

...Judging by some of the posts on this forum, that remains to be proven as much as the existence of God...

  13.              Why do you have such an attitude? It would be bad enough if you were talking about another subject, but to call people morons and tell them to wipe their___ I don't understand. Yes, God does exists and we don't need proof.

  14. Why should you just accept that god exists if there isn't a shred of evidence to support it?

  15. I would submit that you have no grounds to judge whether I'm a moron or not.  Perhaps you would be better just accepting that Odin exists without trying to believe otherwise.

  16. Its because some of us atheists challenged them to prove it...

    -_-

"The burden of proof lies on the believer, not on the unbeliever"

  17. Christianity is a faith those that seek proof lack faith!!

But there is ample evidence to question the existence of Jesus!!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one!!! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!!

Outside of the bible he is not mentioned in anything until many years after his supposed death!!
