  1. because we all want 2 be wanted,

and usualy teens start turning away from there parents & make it look like they dont want them so they look 4 someone who does & they see who they want 2 want them, & theyll do anything 4 them 2 want them... so they change 2 what they think those people want...

    got it?

    God bless u!

  2. its because they want to belong - just as all of us want to feel we belong.  Peer pressure is not always a bad thing - it can be used in a positive way too.

  3. I disagree with this statement.

Any statistics to back it up?

    :)

  4. because so many teens dont have the guts n r usually coward so inable to resist peer pressure........

  5. Children and teens are more likely to be influenced by peer pressure when they come from a family situation where they have limited connections (i.e., the child cannot or does not communicate well with family members, lack of respect to and from family members, etc.). Many families are too busy to spend time together creating bonds, so kids are closer to their friends, with whom they do spend time bonding. Therefore, who are they going to listen to? The people who they spend time with, who know them, or who they think understand what they're going through.

  6. Most Teens have NO foundation upon which to be logical, so they do all kinds of stupid things until they find out what really works for them.

Parents are suppossed to teach them stuff, but they're ducking that duty lately.

  7. most teenagers are not cowards!!! a lot of it is actually wanting to belong, wanting to be a stand out character...

I'm a 15 year old and i know that i have done some stupid things due to peer pressure but yet i still have a lot of friends, i don't get bulled at all and i do not bully others, it just seems like the right thing to at do at the time...

  8. I don't think many teens succumb to peer pressure, honestly. I have friends who do what they do because they want to, not because they have been pressured into it. I have personally never been pressured to do anything.... and none of my friends have been pressured... So if people do, I haven't noticed. I think that is just an exaggerated statistic.
