It seems like every swimming world record has been broken in every race. Is there a new drug that cant be tested for or something?

  1. i have herd that its the swim suits they have like major technology this year.

  2. Yes, thanks to the new and improved Bud Light!

  3. It is due to the swim suits that they are  wearing. They are Speedo Laser suits. NASA helped to develop them at a cost of over a million dollars. They make everyone faster in the water. They had a newscaster putting one on. They are hard to put on.

They call it "NEW SUIT TECHNOLOGY." With its compression it would probably make a fat flabby guy look thin and toned but it is probably not healthy to wear it long.

  4. World records are frequently broken in every Olympics.

Not only in swimming, but in many other sports.

Training methods are constantly improving, and when a new benchmark is set, there's always someone out there who's motivated enough to break it.

    .

  5. It's because Michael Phelps is breaking all the world records!

  6. michael phelps and the new swimsuit thing, i think its called the shark skin stuff.

  7. Well Michael Phelps would be the main reason. You'll never see another swimmer quite like him in your lifetime.

But the other reasons are technological advances in the sport.

The changes in swimming are tremendous, especially as of lately:

1.) The new Lazer Suit by TYR. Wearers of this suit have set over 50 WRs since February alone.

2.) The breaststroke now allows dolphin kicks off the walls (starts and turns)

3.) The backstroke turn now allows the swimmer to turn on his/her stomach on the last stroke into the wall and doesn't require the hand to touch the wall.

    4.) Advanced coaching techniques

5.) The Water Cube is a fast pool

6.) The competition is catching up

7.) The incentives to win have increased. More and more NOC's are paying their athletes so they can concentrate on training.

I'd have to say it's mostly the new suit technology though.

    I hope this helps.
