Why are so many young girls wearing makeup?

I have seen 8 and 9 year olds with blush and mascara on. In my opinion i think it looks ridiculous. I'm in 9th grade and all i wear is mascara, lip gloss, and a little bit of light blush to show off my cheeks. Cant they tell that they are ruining themselves? What do you think about this?

add least they can wear makeup i cant eve nwear makeup and in in 5th grade parents these day r sooo terrible why cant they seee we just wantt to feel   better about themsleves on the outside i have stuff on my face and my mom wont even let me put anythinh on it!!! i wish i could wear makeup my mom says i dnt even take care of my face and im all like UH YAA DO MUM but i guess parents wont get it through there big heads dat we should do want we want wit r bodies we r tha ones dat r going to have to deal wit it if we dont like it
