Why are some CFL teams taking the riff-raff from the NFL lately?

First Ricky Williams could sign with the Argos (pending approval from the Dolphins), now the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Onterrio Smith (Mr. Whizzenator himself). Do you think this sort of thing could end up being bad for the league?

  1. Not really because its not like they are rapist or s*x offenders. they're just pot heads wich if im correct is legal in canada so it wont be a problem.

  2. No.  Good for marketing.

  3. Probabably not,  the CFL is generally undertalented anyway.

  4. It is drawing more attention to a league that will not complain about it, if you see what I mean ... it is good publicity I think, however you can only hope that none of these players end up being behind a scandal!

  5. Oh well they smoked some weed, who hasn't?

The CFL has always been a junior league to the NFL, it will never rival.  That said, guys like Smith have talent and could be a real emotional boost to a struggling CFL club.
