Why are some Europeans considered "snobs"?

and the Americans don't (not all but most) understand Europe and start to sterotype

because there is a stereotype that they think americans are trashy. there is an image of europeans that they believe they are more sophisticated and cultured than americans. americans have stereotypes/ideas about euros and euros have some about americans.

Because some Europeans act like they are better than everyone else.  I would not limit it to Europeans though Americans too.

because they think that they're smarter and more cultured than everyone else. oh wait except california (the one exception). most of the foreign exchange students that visit america say wow i thought all of u were fat and dumb. uve opened my eyes.

maybe because of their appearance...but we'll never knw that they're not totally snobs as you think they might be once you get to know them...as they say, dont judge the book by its cover...
